"Encouraging the Arts in Strathmore"
The Strathmore Performing Arts Festival is a non-competitive music festival that takes place in Strathmore, Alberta,
from March 24th - April 1st, 2023. The festival includes performance areas in Voice, Musical Theatre,
Choir, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Percussion Ensemble, Classroom Music, Piano, and Instrumental Solos, Duets,
& Small Ensembles.
The Strathmore Performing Arts Festival uses the Alberta Music Festivals Syllabus and is committed to providing a safe, creative, and positive performance environment for the audience, adjudicators, and performers.
The Strathmore Performing Arts Festival boundaries span east to west from highway 56 to Calgary's eastern city limit, and north to south from highway 9 to the Bow River. SPAF is dedicated to encouraging the arts in and around Strathmore, and while we are happy to welcome performers from outside our boundaries at our festival, we will give the first opportunity for performance to local performers. The Strathmore Performing Arts Festival reserves our awards and scholarships as well as Provincial Recommendations for performers and students of teachers from within our boundaries.
